Welcome to the Experts Round Table Home Page. As you can see, we are still building the site, but we have put up a few samples of what is to come in a few weeks.
The Mentors on the ERT site may answer a few direct questions, but the primary objective is to teach; and develop material to help other professionals stay current and upgrade their skills. We do that with articles and tutorials developed from forum discussions to produce living documents that are constantly being updated and kept current by our Editors. We generate our content from a forum format that centers on discussion and debate instead of just trying to find quick one off answers. We bring current tech news feeds into our forums to stimulate discussion and examination of the current hot topics and issues, instead of looking for old links for last years patches and workarounds.
For this preview phase of the site, the menu has links to samples, but not the live pages that will make up the site. Things are still a little less than full featured. The link to the forum, which is the primary content engine, will display sample pages so you can see what it will look like but not much beyond that. We are not taking general member registrations just yet.
The links to the articles, tutorials, and scripts will give you a small sample of the type of content you will find on the site. A lot of content is being , produced, edited and formatted for Web presentation at the very moment.
There are still only a couple of links on the tech support links pages. Nothing goes there until we can verify they the site we recommend is safe, reputable, and has quality content. We will also be adding our partner sites who become preferred resources for their specialties, some of which may not necessarily be technical in a nature. There is no reason we would not accept a well run forum for non-technical issues as a partner. Virtually all forums have members with technical problems we may be able to help with.
The tech news it probably not going to be current when you look at it unless you look on a day when we decide to refresh the static feeds that are currently there. Those will be replaced with syndicated content off RSS feeds updated hourly, once the site goes live.
You will find a lot of content if you click the Mentors link. Some of our Mentors have given us permission to use them to promote the ramping up of the site, so we have a few intros for you. If you check those out you will find that Experts Round Table will have some of the best and most experienced help site volunteers on the Web conducting teaching session in out forums.
As for the site map it is empty until we have the site built and know where it is that we have decide to put everything.
